About Our Group

We started our group in 2013 as a local chapter of National Organizing for Action 501c4. OFA was dissolved in 2019.

Our  goal is to establish fair democracy in which every voice is heard. We are a part of National All On The Line campaign to end gerrymandering. In 2020 we helped Alameda County's Complete Census count and this year we are promoting our voices to get heard in redistricting.

We are a non-partisan grassroots organization, and all of us are volunteers. Our support on the campaigns and candidates does not depend on their party affiliation, but the values we share and believe in.

After Roe

Reproductive Freedom on the ballot

Supreme Court ruling to overturn the Roe and transfer the power from people to state government shock the country in June 2022. According to the Guttmacher Institute the US abortion access landscape continues to shift rapidly. You can check the status of abortion policies and access after Roe at their interactive map.

The multiple polls show most Americans support legal abortion even though some prefer to have conditions. Details are reported  at the Pew Research Center in 2022.  The statistics is reflected by the election results on the ballot in seven states since June 2022. In each instance, anti-abortion groups have lost. Reproductive Freedom is an important issue for all women, especially for young women.

In 2024 there will be more ballots measure for seeking abortion rights.

Fight for Fair Maps

"The movement for fair maps will determine the course of progress on every issue we care about for the next decade. And we can’t wait to begin organizing when the redistricting process starts in 2021. We need to build this movement from the ground up – right now." — President Barack Obama

The All On The Line campaign is fighting to end gerrymandering and to draw fair maps at state level in targeted states (AZ, CO, FL, GA, NC, OH, PA, TX, WI) in 2021.

For the People Act (HR1/S1)

Our political system isn’t working for the American people. The For the People Act will put us back on the right track with the largest set of democracy reforms in decades - it would reduce the influence of money in politics, crack down on corruption, ensure accurate elections, and protect voting rights by banning partisan gerrymandering in federal elections.

Moms Against Vaping

Last few years e-cigarette companies have been targeting youth by flavored products, and it is estimated 10-90% of high school students have used e-cigarettes. Our communities have just started to fight back. Join us to protect our kids from nicotine addiction and eventual smoking habit.

We helped to create or strengthen Tobacco Retail Licence and to ban flavored tobacco products in Livermore, Dublin, Pleasanton and Alameda County. As a part of Alameda County Tobacco Control Coalition we will keep working on educating our communities and helping to implement the regulations.

Sign up here to fight this epidemic. Please follow and like our Moms Against Vaping Social Media campaign (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter) for quick updates.
